Representing the heart of Oru East, Oru West, Oguta, and Ohaji/Egbema LGAs. We are the “Oru Pillar” of Houston, dedicated to the social and cultural advancement of our people.
OPA Houston isn’t just an organization; it is a movement of natural brothers and sisters. Formed from the four contiguous local government areas south of Orlu, we stand as a beacon of collaboration and social interaction.
As the sole source of oil and gas in Imo State, our region is the economic engine of the state. We carry that same energy into our community in Houston—fostering a spirit of “Oru Pillar” through cultural preservation and mutual support.
OPA-Houston is poised to be, and strongly positioned as, the best-in-class socio-cultural organization not only in Houston but in the entire United States of America, offering members informative education in diverse arears, social & cultural interaction, community support, and intellectually enriching meetings.
We will lead other similar organizations in most aspects such as member-focused support as well as plans and strategies designed to benefit our mother land which are the communities in the four local government areas that form the footprints of OPA-Houston. With the caliber of membership and our consistency in delivering on our plans and strategies, we assert that OPA-Houston shall be the best organized, best managed, and best productive socio-cultural organization in the Western Hemisphere.
Join us for our cultural nights, general meetings, and social celebrations. We are a loving and welcoming community for all indigenes and visitors. Event Categories to Use: General Meeting, Cultural Night, O.W.A. Event, Community Outreach.
